Nomadfoil is a traveling wingfoil school that offers lessons and supervised
sessions on Lake Annecy and the surrounding area. We adapt our schedule based on weather conditions and
your requests. The goal is simple! To accelerate your progress and offer you personalized, fun-
guidance in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Accessible to everyone, wingfoiling appeals to beginners and water sports enthusiasts alike for its
incredible thrills. It’s convenient, takes up little space, and doesn’t require strong winds.
A unique experience between sky and water, waiting to be discovered in Annecy and the surrounding area.

Where can you find us?
During the summer, we’re in Doussard at the skiwake74 water sports center. We’
, however, remain mobile and offer our services based on your preferences. You can reach us

Wingfoil Lessons
All levels

Want to try wingfoiling or improve your skills? Our lessons are tailored to all skill levels, from absolute beginners to expert riders. Under the guidance of a certified instructor, you’ll learn how to handle the wing, find your balance, and fly safely over the water in private lessons with a maximum of two people.
Several package options are available: 1 hour, 2 hours, 6 hours, and 10 hours (discounted rates for longer sessions).

Towed Foil
All levels

Towed foil is the perfect introduction to the world of aerial water sports. Gently pulled by the boat, you’ll get to experience the thrill of flying over the water for the first time without having to manage the sail. It’s a fun, gradual, and extremely accessible way to get started—perfect for building confidence before moving on to wingfoiling.

Supervised Navigation
All levels

Are you already comfortable on your own but prefer some guidance? Supervised sailing is perfect for you. It’s much better than just renting a boat—an instructor with a boat is on the water to offer advice, ensure your safety, and come pick you up if you’ve drifted off course. You can enjoy yourself freely, stress-free, under the best conditions.

Group Class
Share the experience

Every Saturday, join us for a group wingfoil lesson (max 6 people) to learn and improve together. The curriculum includes wingfoiling, towed foiling, theory, pumpfoiling, and equipment maintenance—these classes are designed to turn you into a self-sufficient and well-rounded wingfoiler.

In wingfoiling, choosing the right gear is crucial for making good progress. That’

We work with two of the best wingfoil brands on the market: Duotone and Sic Maui.

Our equipment:
• Boards from 65L to 170L (freestyle, mid-length, beginner)
• Sails from 3m to 6m (rigid-handle or boom sails)
• Foils from 750 to 2000 (freestyle, downwind/lightwind, and beginner models)
• Pumpfoil

Collective

In Doussard,
Spring/Fall group classes: 6 sessions of 3 hours each on Saturdays from mid-May to late June or from early September to mid-October.

Group lessons in July/August: 4 sessions of 3 hours each in July or August, every Saturday.
How it works:

• Lessons take place regardless of the weather (2:00 PM–5:00 PM).
• Minimum of 4 people and maximum of 6.
• Program: wingfoil riding, towed foil, pumpfoil, theory, equipment, and maintenance.
• Included: Wing/Foil equipment / Life jackets / Wetsuits / Helmets.
• 20% off for ages 12–25 on all services.

In the event that
cancellation

Wingfoiling depends on the weather, and to ensure the quality of its lessons, Nomadfoil
reserves the right to reschedule its services.

• For each lesson, a confirmation or cancellation notice will be sent to you 24 hours in advance to ensure the best sailing conditions for you
.
• No lesson will be charged if it is canceled.
• We cancel our lessons if the average wind speed is less than 8 knots (15 km/h).

A Word from the Instructor

My name is Théo, and I’ve always been passionate about board sports. I’m a state-certified ski instructor in the winter, a sailing instructor (BPJEPS), and an international wingfoil instructor (IWO), and now I teach exclusively wingfoil as soon as the warm weather returns. I love teaching, seeing people improve, and above all, sharing the joy of gliding across the water and the snow. With a teaching-oriented approach, patience, and a good dose of fun, I’ll guide you at your own pace, whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate, or an expert rider.

We've known Théo for several years now. We met him one summer at the lake for wingfoil lessons, when our 10-year-old daughter was very impressed by the wind and the equipment. From the very first lesson, she felt confident thanks to Théo, who knew how to find the right words and explanations to encourage her to overcome her fears. In just a few sessions, the progress was astounding: she was managing her wing, getting on the board, and was already starting to fly above the water! When we learned that Théo also offered supervised sailing, our daughter wanted to continue with him to gain independence while still being supervised. Once again, it was a more than successful experience. Théo is still as involved, gentle, and motivating as ever. Today, our daughter is addicted to wingfoiling and returns to Théo every summer with the same enthusiasm. Thank you, Sabrina, for your kindness, patience, and professionalism!

My grandchildren, Arthur and Samuel, both 11, started wingfoiling with Théo in the summer of 2018. They quickly felt confident thanks to a fun, caring approach that respected their personalities and their learning pace. The videos demonstrate their progress, and the photos show how comfortable and happy they are sailing, whatever the weather conditions. During the unusual COVID-19 summers, Théo also introduced them to other water sports and gentle gliding activities on the lake, always in the same spirit of discovery and fun. We were soon able to sail together in the afternoons, with Théo recommending the best spots based on the wind and weather conditions. Every summer, the children look forward to this week with Théo, and for the parents, it's a real relief to know they're in such good hands.
